Send emails from your own domain
Verifying your domain so buyer emails come from your address instead of a Koarge one.
What changes
Until you verify a domain, your buyers' emails are sent from receipts@koarge.com with your business name attached. Buyers see your name, but the address underneath is ours.
Once you verify, they come from your own domain instead — receipts@yourdomain.com.
Two things improve:
Recognition. An email from your own address matches the site they just bought from. Buyers are less likely to delete it or report it.
Deliverability. Mail providers judge the sending domain. A verified domain that matches your business is treated better than a shared platform address, and delivery emails carrying download links need every advantage they can get.
What you need
A domain you control, with access to its DNS settings — usually at your registrar, or wherever your site's DNS is managed.
You don't need the domain to host anything. A domain used only for email works fine.
How it works
-
Add your domain under Setup → Emails.
-
Koarge shows you the DNS records to add.
-
Add them at your registrar.
-
Koarge checks for them and marks the domain verified once they're found.
Verification isn't instant. DNS changes take time to propagate, sometimes hours.
Adding the records
DNS is the settings layer that tells the internet where your domain points and what's allowed to send email using it. Adding a record means filling in a short form at your registrar. Nothing is installed and your website isn't affected.
Look for DNS, DNS management, or Advanced DNS wherever your domain is managed.
Add exactly the records shown on your Setup → Emails screen, exactly as shown. The number of records and their contents vary by domain and setup, so don't work from an example elsewhere. Your screen is authoritative.
For each record, your registrar asks for a type, a name or host, and a value. Copy each one across, then save.
Getting the values right
This is where verification usually fails:
-
Copy and paste. Don't retype. The values are long, and one wrong character means it won't verify.
-
Watch for trailing spaces when pasting.
-
Watch how your registrar handles the name field. Some want just the prefix, some want the full domain. If Koarge shows
example.comand your registrar auto-appends the domain, entering the full thing producesexample.com.example.com. If verification fails on a record that looks correct, this is usually why. -
Don't add quotation marks unless your registrar asks for them.
After saving
DNS propagates on its own schedule — sometimes minutes, sometimes hours. Koarge keeps checking and updates the status when the records appear. You don't need to sit and refresh.
Until it's verified
Everything keeps working. Emails go out from receipts@koarge.com, buyers get their receipts and files, and nothing is blocked. Verification is an improvement, not a requirement.
If verification breaks later
If your records are removed or changed, sending falls back to receipts@koarge.com automatically rather than failing. Your buyers still get their emails, and Koarge flags it so you know to fix it.
If it doesn't work
-
Records added but still unverified. Usually propagation — give it a few hours. See Your domain verification is pending or failing.
-
A record looks right but won't verify. Check the name field first. See above.
-
Your registrar rejects a value. Some have length limits or their own formatting for long values. Check their help for the record type.
-
A record already exists with that name. Don't overwrite it without checking what it does — it may belong to your existing email. Contact support if you're unsure.
-
You don't control the domain. You'll need whoever does to add the records.
