Your license is inactive
What an inactive license means, why checkout has stopped, and how to get selling again.
What it means
Your license is tied to your Koarge subscription. Without an active subscription there's no active license, and checkout stops working on your site.
Your buyers see a button that doesn't open. You keep getting visitors and stop getting sales.
Why it happens
There's really only one cause: your subscription is no longer active. That happens two ways.
You cancelled your plan and the paid period has now ended.
A failed payment went unresolved. A single failed charge doesn't do this. Koarge emails you and your checkout keeps working normally while we retry. Only if it's still unresolved at the end of the retry period does the subscription cancel — and that's when the license deactivates. See What happens if your payment fails.
Fix it
Go to Billing. You'll see that your checkout isn't taking payments, with a button to start a plan. Start one, or update your card if that's what went wrong.
Checkout resumes as soon as the subscription is active again. You don't need to republish your Framer site, reactivate your license, or reconfigure anything — your site is still linked and your buttons are still in place.
Nothing is deleted
Your offers, orders, files, and settings are all intact and waiting. Buyers who already purchased keep their download links, which carry on working until they expire or hit their download limit.
This isn't the same as an unlinked site
If you unlinked your Framer site, your license is fine — the site just isn't connected to it any more. Reactivate in the plugin with your key. See One Framer site per license.
If it doesn't work
-
You've paid but it still shows inactive. Reload your dashboard and check Setup → Framer for your license status. If it's still inactive after a few minutes, contact support.
-
You can't start a plan. Check the card isn't expired and that your bank isn't blocking the charge.
