Plans, pricing, and billing

What Koarge costs, how billing works, and how to change your plan or card.

Who this is for: Anyone choosing a plan or managing what they pay.

Updated

A flat subscription, no cut of your sales

You pay Koarge a fixed amount monthly or annually. Koarge takes no percentage of your sales — sell nothing or sell thousands, the subscription is the same.

Stripe's processing fee applies separately on each transaction and is paid to Stripe. See How money reaches your bank.

The Starter plan

Koarge Starter Plan Pricing

Annual works out around 20% cheaper than paying monthly.

Prices are in Canadian dollars wherever you're based. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts at their rate and may add a foreign transaction fee.

Tax is added where it applies, so your charge may be higher than the listed price.

Founding pricing

The founding rate is limited to the first 50 subscribers. The pricing page shows how many places are left.

Your rate stays fixed for as long as your subscription stays active. If pricing rises later, you keep what you signed up at.

It's tied to staying subscribed. Cancel and come back later and you'd rejoin at whatever the price is then — the founding rate isn't held for you.

Pro isn't available yet

Starter is the only plan you can buy. Pro shows as coming soon in Billing, with a waitlist you can join to hear when it lands. Joining twice just confirms you're already on the list.

Changing your plan

Switching between monthly and annual is done in Billing.

Changes take effect immediately. You're charged a prorated amount for the switch, so you only pay the difference for what's left of your current period rather than starting again.

Your new interval runs from that point, and future renewals follow it.

Your payment card

Billing holds the cards on your account. The default card is the one charged when your subscription renews, and you can switch which card is the default at any time.

Adding a new card doesn't retry a payment that has already failed — see What happens if your payment fails.

Card details are held by Stripe. Koarge never sees your full card number.

Your invoices

Every Koarge charge produces an invoice, available from Billing. Each shows the amount, date, plan, billing period, and any tax charged.

Your billing address determines what tax is charged. Keep it accurate — an address that doesn't match where your business operates produces invoices your accountant will question.

Two different taxes

Tax on your Koarge subscription — what you pay Koarge, covered here.

Tax on your sales — what your buyers pay you, your responsibility as merchant of record. See Charging tax on your sales.

No free trial

There isn't one. Instead there's a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first payment. See Cancel your plan or close your account.

If it doesn't work

  • Your charge doesn't match the listed price. Check whether tax was added and whether your bank converted from CAD.

  • You were charged an unexpected amount after switching interval. That's the prorated difference for the rest of your current period, not a full new charge.

  • The tax charged looks wrong. Check your billing address, then contact support.

  • A payment failed. See What happens if your payment fails.
