Edit, duplicate, and archive an offer

Changing an offer that's already on sale, copying one as a starting point, and taking one off sale.

Who this is for: Sellers managing offers after the first one is live.

Updated

Edit an offer

You can change an offer's name, description, image, price, and compare-at price at any time — while it's live and selling. On a digital offer you can also change the file, the download limit, and the link expiry.

The one thing you can't change is the type. Digital stays digital, service stays service.

Changes apply immediately. You don't need to republish your Framer site — the button reads offer details live.

Past buyers keep what they bought. A buyer who paid $40 keeps a $40 order and a $40 receipt after you raise the price to $60. Their download link keeps working with the limit and expiry it was issued with, and serves the file as it was when they bought it. Past orders are a record of what happened, not a live copy of the offer.

Renaming mid-sale means two buyers of the same product get differently-named receipts. Fine for a tidy-up, worth thinking about mid-campaign.

Replacing the file has its own rules about who gets which version — see Replace a file on an existing offer before doing it.

Duplicate an offer

Duplicating saves setup when you're making something close to an offer you already have — a different price point, a bundle, a seasonal edition.

The type, description, price, and download settings all copy across. On a digital offer the file copies too, so you don't re-upload or wait for another scan. Orders and sales history stay with the original.

Change what you need on the copy, then set it active and insert its own checkout button.

A duplicated file counts against your storage separately. Two offers with the same file use twice the space — worth knowing before you make five variants of one product.

Archive an offer

Archiving takes an offer off sale while keeping it. It moves to the Archive tab and drops out of the plugin's list of offers you can sell.

Remove its buttons first. Any checkout button on a published page that sells an archived offer stops working, and your visitors see a checkout that fails with no explanation. Find every page using it, delete the button (or insert a new one for a different offer), and republish.

Past buyers are unaffected. Their orders stay in your Orders screen, and their download links keep working until they expire or hit their download limit. If you want to cut off someone's access, that's a separate action — see Download limits and link expiry.

Archiving frees no storage. An archived offer's file still counts.

To bring it back, open it from the Archive tab and set it active. It goes straight back on sale — insert a button for it again and republish any page you'd changed.

If it doesn't work

  • Your change isn't showing at checkout. Hard-reload your live site or open it in a private window.

  • Your site shows a broken checkout after archiving. A published page still has a button for that offer. Delete it and republish.

  • You picked the wrong type. Types can't be switched. Create a new offer and archive the old one.

  • You're near your storage limit. Archiving doesn't free space. Contact support.
