How money reaches your bank
The path your buyer's payment takes to your bank account, what Stripe takes along the way, and why Koarge is never in the middle of it.
The path
-
Your buyer pays on your Framer page.
-
Stripe charges their card and puts the money in your Stripe balance.
-
Stripe pays out from your balance to your bank on your payout schedule.
Koarge is not a step in that list. Your money never passes through a Koarge account, and Koarge holds no balance on your behalf.
Koarge takes no cut of your sales
No percentage, no per-transaction fee. Sell one item a month or a thousand — what Koarge takes from each sale is nothing.
What you pay Koarge is a flat subscription, monthly or annual, in Canadian dollars. That's the whole of it. See Plans, pricing, and billing.
Stripe charges a processing fee
Stripe charges its own fee on each transaction. That fee:
-
Is paid to Stripe, not to Koarge
-
Is deducted from the payment before it reaches your balance
-
Applies regardless of which platform you sell through
-
Varies by country, card type, and currency
Koarge doesn't add to it, mark it up, or take a share. Check Stripe's pricing page for the current rate in your country — rates change, and it's their fee to publish.
What you actually keep
Sell something for $100 and Stripe deducts its processing fee. What's left goes to your Stripe balance, then to your bank. Koarge deducts nothing at any point.
Separately, once a month or once a year, Koarge charges your subscription. That's a fixed amount and doesn't move with your sales volume.
Payout timing
Payout schedules are set by Stripe and controlled from your Stripe dashboard, not from Koarge. Your first payout usually takes longer than later ones while Stripe finishes verifying you.
If a payout is delayed or a balance is held, that's between you and Stripe. Koarge can't release funds or change your schedule.
Schedules vary by country and change over time, so check Stripe's own payout documentation rather than assuming a timeframe.
On refunds
Refunds come out of your Stripe balance. You can refund in full or in part.
Stripe's processing fee on the original charge isn't returned to you. That's Stripe's policy, not Koarge's, and it means a refunded sale still costs you the original processing fee.
In Koarge, a refund is deducted from the period of the original sale, the same way Stripe treats it — so refunding today a sale made last month reduces last month's figure, not this month's.
Where to look
Your Koarge Orders screen shows what was sold and for how much. Open an order and it shows which card paid and notes that Stripe's fee comes out of your payout.
Your Stripe dashboard shows the exact fee on each charge, what was paid out, and when. For anything about money movement, Stripe is the source of truth.
If it doesn't work
-
An order shows in Koarge but nothing has arrived. Check your Stripe balance. The money is likely there, waiting on your payout schedule.
-
Payouts have stopped. Stripe has probably placed a restriction on your account. See Your Stripe account is restricted.
-
The amount is less than you expected. That's Stripe's processing fee. Your Stripe dashboard breaks it down per charge.
-
You've been charged by Koarge and don't recognise it. That's your subscription. See Plans, pricing, and billing.
