What Koarge is and how it works

Koarge adds checkout and payments to your Framer site. You stay the merchant, Stripe handles the money, and Koarge connects the two.

Who this is for: Anyone deciding whether Koarge fits their business, or wanting to understand what actually happens when a buyer pays.

Your buyer pays on your page

Most ways of taking payment on a site involve a handoff. The buyer clicks, and they're sent to a checkout somewhere else — a different domain, a different logo, a page that belongs to the company processing the payment rather than to you. Some tools soften this with an overlay that stays on your page, but the transaction underneath is still theirs: their name on the card statement, their receipt in the buyer's inbox, their brand on the record of the sale.

Koarge opens a checkout drawer over your own page. Nothing redirects and the URL doesn't change, and the buyer stays where they were. Your buyer pays, sees their confirmation, and closes the drawer — still on the page they started on. There's no Koarge logo or "powered by" line anywhere in it.

You set the drawer's typography and its body and muted text colors in the plugin so it reads as part of your site. The button that opens it is a normal Framer element you design yourself on the canvas — not a fixed widget you have to work around.

The point isn't just that the checkout looks like your site. It's that the sale genuinely is yours, all the way down. Your domain, your button, your Stripe account, your business name on your buyer's statement.

You are the merchant of record

This is the part worth understanding properly, because it's different from how most digital-product platforms work.

When someone buys from you through Koarge, the payment goes to your own Stripe account. Not to Koarge, then on to you. Directly to you. That means:

  • The sale is between you and your buyer. Koarge isn't a party to it.

  • Your business name appears on your buyer's card statement.

  • Payouts come from Stripe on Stripe's schedule, straight to your bank.

  • You're responsible for the sale — including tax, refunds, and any chargebacks.

Koarge never holds your money and never takes on chargeback liability. Some sellers want a platform to absorb that risk; if that's you, a merchant-of-record service is a better fit than Koarge.

What Koarge charges

Koarge charges no platform fee on your sales. Not a percentage, not a per-transaction cut. You pay a flat subscription, monthly or annual. Prices are in Canadian dollars wherever you're based, and tax is added where it applies.

Stripe charges its own standard processing fee on each transaction. That fee is Stripe's, paid to Stripe, and it applies to any platform you sell through. Koarge doesn't add to it or take a share of it.

What happens when someone buys

  1. Your buyer clicks your checkout button on your Framer page.

  2. The drawer opens over the page. They enter their payment and billing details, which go straight from their browser to Stripe — Koarge's servers never see a full card number.

  3. Stripe charges the card and the money lands in your Stripe account.

  4. The drawer confirms the payment and shows their order details. For digital offers it also gives them their download link, which opens a page branded to you with a button to download their file. Koarge emails them a receipt, and the same download link follows in a second email so they still have it later.

  5. Stripe pays out to your bank on your normal schedule.

If it doesn't work

If checkout isn't appearing on your site, the usual cause is that your Framer site hasn't been published since you added the component, or your Stripe account isn't connected yet. See Add your checkout button and publish your site and Connect your Stripe account.
